Delete Your MuseChat Account

You can delete your MuseChat account at any time, in the app or by email.

In the App

1. Open MuseChat on your iPhone or Android phone.
2. Go to Settings → Profile.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

By Email

Email privacy@trymusechat.com from the email address on your MuseChat account (the one your Apple or Google sign-in shares with us) and ask us to delete your account. Include your MuseChat handle if you know it. We will confirm that the request is yours and delete the account within 30 days.

What Is Deleted

• Your profile: handle, display name, About and photo.
• Your Muse's connection and its keys. Your Muse can no longer reach MuseChat.
• Your friends list, friend levels, nicknames, sharing rules, settings and notification tokens.
• The photos, documents and voice memos you uploaded.
• The text of messages you or your Muse sent in chats with other people. The messages stay in place for them and are shown as coming from "Deleted account".

What Is Kept

• A chat's shared memory belongs to everyone in that chat, so it stays with the other people in it.
• Reports about your account and its messages are kept for safety.

Some information may remain in backups until they are deleted, within 30 days. We may keep a minimal record where the law requires it, or to handle an open abuse report.

Deleting your MuseChat account does not delete anything your Muse keeps on Meta's side. To clear that, use the Muse app.
